Warranty Policy

Last updated: September 5, 2026

Thermal optics sold by Thermisight Dynamics LLC — which owns and operates thermisightdynamics.com, thermisighthunters.com, thermisightindustrial.com, and thermisightdrone.com — are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Thermisight is an authorized dealer and will help you file and track warranty claims, but the manufacturer determines coverage and remedies.

Coverage

Most thermal scopes, monoculars, and clip-ons include a manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Terms vary by brand and model — commonly 3 years for premium brands such as Pulsar, AGM, iRay, and N-Vision, and up to 5 years on select lines (for example, ATN Gen 5 thermal scopes and the ATN ThOR LTV, and Rix Optics thermal devices with 384-resolution detectors and higher, when purchased through an authorized dealer). Warranty length and terms vary by product; see the product page or contact us for the specific term, and see our Manufacturer Policies page for each brand's stated warranty program.

Per-Product Warranty Terms

Warranty length varies by product. Some SKUs carry a different warranty term than the brand default — for example, a clearance or refurbished unit may have a shorter 90-day warranty. The exact warranty period for each product is displayed on its product detail page so you know the coverage before you buy. If no per-product term is shown, the brand's standard warranty applies.

Serialized Inventory & Warranty Registration

Each unit we receive from a manufacturer is tracked by serial number across its lifecycle — in stock, shipped, warranty-registered, returned, or recalled. We encourage you to register your product after purchase so we can link the serial number to your email. If a manufacturer issues a safety notice or recall affecting your unit, we will notify you directly rather than relying on you to see a public announcement.

What's Covered

  • Defects in materials or workmanship under normal use.
  • Manufacturing-related sensor or electronics failure.
  • Optical defects present at delivery.

What's Not Covered

  • Damage from misuse, drops, moisture beyond rated IP class, or unauthorized repair.
  • Normal wear, cosmetic scratches, and battery depletion.
  • Modification, resale, or use outside the product's rated conditions.

Filing a Claim

  • Use our online warranty claim form (button above) with your order ID, product serial number, and a description of the issue.
  • Alternatively, email jamesmcgee@thermisightdynamics.com with your order number, product, and a description of the issue (photos help).
  • We'll confirm the warranty term and route the claim to the manufacturer.
  • Follow the manufacturer's instructions for repair, replacement, or return.

Product Safety Notices & Recalls

When a manufacturer issues a product safety notice or recall, we flag all affected serial numbers in our system and send targeted email notifications to customers who purchased or registered an affected unit. If you believe your product is affected by a recall and have not been notified, email jamesmcgee@thermisightdynamics.com with your order number and serial number and we will check immediately.

Remedies

At the manufacturer's discretion, claims are resolved by repair, replacement, or refund of the purchase price. Turnaround times vary by brand and parts availability.
