Lens Care
- •Use only microfiber cloths and lens cleaning solution designed for coated optics — never paper towels or shirt sleeves.
- •Blow off dust with a bulb duster before wiping to avoid scratching the germanium lens coating.
- •Store with lens caps on when not in use to protect the objective and eyepiece.
Battery & Power
- •Remove batteries during long-term storage (>30 days) to prevent corrosion.
- •Charge to 80–90% before extended storage; avoid leaving fully discharged for long periods.
- •Use only manufacturer-approved batteries and chargers — aftermarket cells can cause thermal runaway.
Storage & Environment
- •Store in a dry, climate-controlled environment between 32°F and 77°F.
- •Avoid leaving in a hot vehicle — extreme heat degrades the thermal sensor over time.
- •Keep the optic in its case during transport to prevent impact damage to the internal sensor.
Zero & Calibration
- •Re-check your zero after any significant impact or temperature change >40°F.
